Update to FanDraft Player Rankings

FanDraft player rankings are now supplied by FantasyNerds.com, delivering more consistent and predictable rankings throughout the draft season.

Update to FanDraft Player Rankings

Starting today, FanDraft player rankings are now being supplied by FantasyNerds.com

The details:

More specifically, all skilled positions are being driven by FantasyNerds. The “Skilled positions” include: Quarterbacks, Running backs, Wide Receivers, Tight Ends, Kickers, and Defenses.

Individual Defensive Player (IDPs) rankings are also provided by FantasyNerds.

The more obscure positions, such as Coaches, Punters, etc., are generally derived from real-time “average draft position” (ADP) data supplied by MyFantasyLeague.com.

Changes to Individual Defensive Players (IDPs) Rankings

When viewing the “Top Overall”, IDPs will now appear grouped toward the bottom of the skilled players. Previously, IDPs were intermingled with the “skilled positions”.

Benefits / Why the change?

In the past FanDraft’s player rankings were always derived from Average Draft Position (ADP) data provided by MyFantasyLeague. Unfortunately, that data would always be unpredictable, especially in the early parts of summer.

The new rankings are now significantly more consistent with consensus rankings, and predictable throughout the entire draft season.

The changes to IDP rankings have also been significantly improved, providing more accurate and expansive rankings for all of the individual defensive players.
