"Make something
better."
The inspiration for FanDraft arrived in the summer of 2000, at a league draft. A leaguemate had taped together a makeshift sticker board — and our founder gave him a hard time about it. The reply was a challenge: make something better.
So he did. He spent the next year teaching himself to program, and in 2001 FanDraft launched as a modern alternative to the cardboard-and-sticker boards taped up at in-person draft parties. A digital board made draft day more engaging and realistic — and the in-person draft was changed forever.
The goal has never changed: make a fantasy draft feel like an actual NFL Draft. Put it up on a TV or projector, keep the whole thing organized and moving, and turn pick day into an event the whole league looks forward to.

The very first build. Look closely — that's a rookie Tom Brady sitting on the quarterback board.
